Deliberate Fire Starting
Overview
A commission by The Tyne & Wear Fire & Rescue Service to design and deliver a performance with the aim of reducing anti-social behaviour fire starting across North East England.
Solution
‘What a Laugh’ is a hard hitting 50 minute interactive performance. It informs and engages young people in years 7, 8 & 9 to reduce the number of fires started deliberately.
Incorporating an edited version of The Connor Rowntree story, Gibber use a unique angle to explore the negative impact of deliberate fire starting on the community. Furthermore, it promotes healthy living messages that have a positive impact on staying safe and the choices young people make.
The performance continues delivery to align with the Lighter Nights Campaign.
“Gibber are a very credible and trustworthy company to have in school.”
